Battleship Marine Corps Challenge Coin

Celebrate the storied history of the Battleship New Jersey x United States Marines Corps with our special edition MARDET challenge coin. 

During three out of the four commissionings, the Battleship hosted on board a MARDET aka Marine Detachment. The Marines, amongst other duties, served as orderlies to the Captain, ran the brig, manned one of the 5-inch mounts, and guarded nuclear weapons magazines. 

The front of the coin is a replica of the last BB62 MARDET guidon and the back Marines stand on the top of the Battleship's storied 16" gun turrets at attention.
