Battleship New Jersey Retail Shop — Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with the Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial. Your purchase directly supports the preservation and education mission of our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
This Shipping Policy outlines how we handle order processing, delivery, and tracking for purchases made through our Shopify store and in-person retail locations.
1. Order Processing

Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Peak Season: During special events or holiday periods, processing times may extend up to 7–10 business days due to increased order volume.

Verification: All orders are subject to verification and approval prior to shipment.
If there’s a delay or issue with your order, we’ll contact you via the email or phone number provided at checkout.
2. Shipping Rates & Carriers
We partner with trusted carriers to ensure reliable delivery:

Domestic Orders: Typically shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

International Orders: Shipped through USPS International, UPS Worldwide, or FedEx International.
Shipping rates are calculated automatically at checkout based on:

Weight and dimensions of your package

Destination address

Selected shipping speed
We do not charge handling fees. All shipping costs shown at checkout are exact carrier rates.
3. Estimated Delivery Times
Once shipped, estimated delivery windows are:

Domestic (U.S.) Orders: 3–7 business days

International Orders: 10–21 business days, depending on customs processing
Note: These estimates are provided by carriers and may vary based on weather, customs inspections, or other delays beyond our control.
4. In-Store Pickup (When Available)
Local customers may choose free in-store pickup at the Battleship New Jersey Gift Shop.

You’ll receive an email notification once your order is ready for pickup.

Please bring your order confirmation and photo ID when picking up your order.

Orders must be picked up within 14 days of the ready-for-pickup notice.
5. International Shipping
We are proud to serve Battleship fans around the world! Please note:

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees charged by their local government.

Customs processing times may vary and can affect delivery dates.

We cannot mark packages as “gifts” to reduce declared values.
- Some international orders may show as “Delivered” once they arrive at your country’s customs facility, but the package will continue moving through the delivery process until it reaches your final destination.
6. Tracking Your Order
When your order ships, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number and link to monitor its progress.
Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear once the carrier has scanned the package.
If your tracking status shows “Delivered” but you haven’t received your package, please:

Verify your shipping address was entered correctly.

Check with neighbors, mailrooms, or building staff.

Wait 1–2 business days for final carrier updates.

7. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments

Lost Packages: If your order is lost in transit, we will open a claim with the carrier. Once verified, we’ll either reship your items or refund your order.

Delayed Packages: Weather, holidays, or unforeseen carrier issues can cause delays. We appreciate your patience and will help track updates when possible.

Damaged Items: If your item arrives damaged, please email photos of the damage and your order number to s.fernandez@battleshipnewjersey.org within 7 days of delivery. We’ll gladly send a replacement or refund.
8. Shipping Restrictions
We currently do not ship to:

P.O. Boxes (for large or heavy items)

Countries restricted by U.S. export laws or sanctions
Certain oversized or fragile items (e.g., framed artwork, plaques, or collectibles) may require additional shipping time or freight services. These products will include specific shipping details on their product pages.
9. Incorrect Shipping Information
Please double-check your address before submitting your order.
If you need to correct an address, contact s.fernandez@battleshipnewjersey.org within 24 hours of placing the order.
We are not responsible for lost or misdelivered packages due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
10. Returns Due to Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempt:

We can reship it once you provide a corrected address and pay the new shipping cost, or
-
We can refund your order (excluding original shipping fees).
11. Combining Orders
For operational efficiency, multiple orders placed separately cannot be combined once they’ve entered processing.
12. Donation and Event Purchases
Shipping policies apply only to retail merchandise.
Donations, sponsorships, and event tickets are delivered electronically and are not subject to physical shipping or refunds.
