Measuring approximately 10 inches wide, 9 inches tall, and 2 inches thick, the piece features the carved designation “BB-62” set against original paint remnants, deep grain lines, and structural wear earned at sea.

Rather than being refinished or repaired, this artifact intentionally retains its raw damage, exposed interior grain, and irregular edges, offering an unfiltered connection to the Black Dragon’s history. Mounted on a solid teak base engraved “USS New Jersey BB-62,” the presentation elevates the fragment into a museum-style display while honoring its authenticity.
